Proof of Concept

You can define a personalized Proof of Concept to see our robots perform in your own operational environment. This unique approach allows for basic validation of your use cases and for the integration of our solutions into your operational philosophy. This will provide new insights into the readiness and acceptance for the future robotization of your plant. For the execution of a pilot or Proof of Concept, we usually follow a standardized approach comprising three distinct phases:

  • Use case preparation: gathering available data from site
    (e.g. images, videos, maps, 3D models);
  • Organizational tasks according to site requirements: list of personnel, list of equipment, next of kin, etc.;
  • Preparation of logistics: robot transportation, flights, accommodation;
  • Safety pre-trainings (if required, e.g. online classes, etc.);
  • Optional: performing robot missions in simulation (if 3D data is available).
  • Safety induction from site / and on Robot (bi-lateral);
  • Test of pre-selected areas for robot operations:
    • Communication coverage (4G/WiFi)
    • Terrain (floors, stairs, ramps, obstacles)
    • Potential checkpoints (objects for inspection)
  • Determine location of:
    • Docking station (non ATEX zone)
    • Robot operation area, checkpoints
    • Workshop (for robot preparation, non ATEX zone)
    • Control station (preferably, non ATEX zone)
  • Setup of a robot mission:
    • Driving tests
    • Creation of a map for navigation
    • Teach-in of checkpoints
    • Trials & mission optimization
  • Execution of robot missions:
    • Collection of video data
    • Collection of images, sound samples, thermography
    • Generation of on-the-fly mission reports
    • Optional: video shooting
  • Checking on data recorded by the robots
  • Feasibility study of data analysis for specific checkpoints
  • Preparation of a detailed evaluation report
  • Optional: video preparation
  • Presentation of results to audience chosen by customer (also on-site)

Phase 1 and Phase 3 can be done remotely without Taurob presence on-site. For Phase 2 we suggest a timeline of 2 weeks to allow for enough preparation and a representative execution of the scope.
